Overview

Garmin 500ft Bulk Marine Network Cable RJ45 (010-10647-01)

Introduction

The Garmin 500ft Bulk Marine Network Cable (model 010-10647-01) delivers reliable, high-speed connectivity for professional and recreational marine operations. Built specifically for Garmin's marine electronics ecosystem, this cable enables real-time sonar data sharing across your vessel's network, allowing every plotter on board to access detailed underwater imagery and navigation information simultaneously. Whether you're running a fishing charter, conducting hydrographic surveys, or exploring offshore waters, this cable handles the demands of marine networking without compromise.

Key Features

  • Extended reach of 500 feet provides installation flexibility for larger vessels or remote sonar module placement
  • Compatible with Garmin GCV 10 Scanning Sonar Module, GMR series radars, and GPSMAP series chartplotters
  • Rated for deep-water operation at depths exceeding 5,000 feet (1,524 meters)
  • RJ45 connector configuration enables standardized network connections across multiple Garmin devices
  • Automatic power transmission capabilities optimize sonar returns in varying water conditions
  • Supports multi-plotter network architecture, allowing unrestricted data sharing among connected units

Data Insights

When deployed across a network, the Garmin 500ft Bulk Marine Network Cable allows every chartplotter connected to the system to access identical sonar data simultaneously. This capability significantly enhances situational awareness by providing redundant navigation and fish-finding coverage throughout your vessel. Networks utilizing this cable configuration achieve consistent data transmission quality regardless of water depth or environmental conditions, making it particularly valuable for commercial fishing operations and professional marine surveys that operate at variable depths.

Usage Instructions

Connect the cable to compatible Garmin devices following manufacturer guidelines provided with your specific equipment. Ensure all RJ45 connections are fully seated and secured before operation. Route the cable away from high-traffic areas and sharp edges to prevent damage during normal vessel operations. For installations exceeding standard lengths, plan routing carefully to avoid excessive cable strain or kinking, which can degrade signal quality or cause connection failure.

Design & Material

This marine network cable combines rugged construction with practical marine-specific engineering. The 500-foot length accommodates larger vessel configurations while maintaining data integrity across extended runs. The cable design prioritizes durability and weather resistance without sacrificing flexibility during installation.

  • Heavy-duty jacket construction withstands prolonged exposure to saltwater, UV radiation, and mechanical abrasion
  • Weather-resistant materials resist moisture infiltration and corrosion that typically degrade standard network cables in marine environments
  • Flexible cable core simplifies routing through tight spaces, cable trays, and conduit without compromising structural integrity
  • High-quality RJ45 connectors with reinforced strain relief prevent connection degradation from vibration and movement
  • Black insulation provides low-visibility routing while maintaining a professional appearance on modern fishing and professional vessels
  • Lightweight construction facilitates single-person installation without requiring specialized lifting equipment or additional labor

Final Verdict

The Garmin 500ft Bulk Marine Network Cable is an essential component for any serious marine operation running multiple Garmin devices. Its depth rating to 5,000 feet, compatibility with the complete Garmin marine ecosystem, and proven marine-grade durability make it the proper choice for commercial operations, fishing charters, and offshore enthusiasts who demand reliable sonar networking. Invest in this cable to eliminate connectivity bottlenecks and ensure your entire crew has access to real-time sonar intelligence at all times.
