The training load feature quantifies weekly stress accumulated from all activities, allowing athletes to adjust volume and intensity based on recovery metrics. Performance condition data compares your current fitness to your baseline, helping prevent overtraining while maximizing aerobic adaptations.
Usage Instructions
Wear the watch snugly on your wrist with the optical heart rate sensor making full skin contact. Pair it with your smartphone via the Garmin Connect app to enable music syncing, messaging alerts, and workout suggestions. Before each activity, select your sport from the preloaded profiles, and the watch automatically begins recording GPS coordinates, heart rate, and performance data. Sync your completed workouts to Garmin Connect regularly to track progress, analyze training load trends, and receive personalized daily workout recommendations based on your recent training history.

The Forerunner 745 balances durability with ultralight construction, making it equally at home on a 20-mile long run or during casual daily wear. The watch face is recessed slightly within a reinforced bezel to protect against impacts during transitions and outdoor training.
